The food was awesome! We ordered the panam kallu (just as we expected), fried frog legs, deer kandhari, and ayala fish curry with kappa & porotta. Everything was perfect. Great service, and it was so peaceful, probably cuz it was a weekday. Loved the selection of songs in the background. Felt like we were actually in Kerala! A couple of things: some dishes were unavailable, and the bathroom smelled bad. But overall, I'd totally recommend this place.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great place to experience Kerala’s culture.kallummakkaya was amazing However, the portion sizes are very small, and service is slow due to only one staff member handling all tables. Despite this, the tasty food and vibrant ambiance make it worth a visit! And also the concept was also appreciated

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Thattukada - Kallu Shappu in Northampton, and I must say, it's a game-changer! The new management has brought a fresh energy to the place, and it shows in every aspect of the dining experience. The flavors of Kerala shine through in their authentic dishes, which are carefully crafted to transport your taste buds to the heart of South India. From the spicy kick of their curries to the rich flavors, every bite is a delight. One of the highlights of our meal was the Toddy, a natural alcohol that's a specialty of the Kerala. It's a must-try for anyone looking for a unique drinking experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with a cozy decor that makes you feel like you're dining in a traditional Kerala home. The presentation of the dishes is also noteworthy, with vibrant colors and artistic garnishes that add to the overall dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Thattukada to anyone looking for a truly authentic Kerala dining experience in Northampton. The new management has done an excellent job of bringing the flavors and culture of Kerala to the UK, and I can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious dishes!"

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional dining experience. The staff was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. Every dish we ordered was a masterpiece. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were rich and well-balanced, and the presentation was elegant without being overdone. The main course—tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection—was the highlight of the evening. The dessert was equally impressive, offering a sweet finish that didn’t overpower the palate. It’s clear that this restaurant takes pride in both its cuisine and its service. We left feeling satisfied and genuinely cared for. Whether you’re looking for a casual dinner or a special night out, this place delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended!

My recent visit to Thattukada in Northampton left me with mixed feelings. While the ambience was quite okay, I found the overall experience to be rather average. One aspect that disappointed me was the freshness of the food preparation. Unfortunately, some of the dishes seemed to lack the freshness and quality I expected. This detracted from the overall dining experience and left me feeling somewhat unsatisfied. Additionally, I found that there wasn’t much variety in the menu offerings. The limited selection made it difficult to find something that truly appealed to my taste preferences. I would have appreciated a wider range of options to choose from. Parking was also a problem during my visit. Finding a spot nearby proved to be quite challenging, adding a level of inconvenience to the dining experience. Overall, while Thattukada in Northampton offers an okay ambience, there are areas for improvement, particularly in terms of food freshness, variety, and parking availability.
